Stardom Storage Solutions, brand from Raidon Technology Inc., announces DR8-TB3 Thunderbolt 3 RAID storage. It comes with dual Thunderbolt 3 interface and one MiniDisplay port, also with hardware RAID chip inside too;
DR8-TB3 has rackmount type outside looking design, allows user to put it under the AIO (All-In-One) computer such like iMac to keep the tabletop clean and neat. Or user can put it into the removable rackmount case to carry it with ease. It supports eight 3.5" or 2.5" SAS/SATA HDD or SSD and comes with dual Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB-C type connector) and one MiniDisplay port. It also supports daisy chain to connect up to six Thunderbolt 3 devices through one cable.
Embedded one hardware RAID chip with 900MHz clock rate inside, DR8-TB3 supports RAID-0,1,5,6,10,50,60 and JBOD. User can set the RAID level depending on the application and monitor the storage status with user friendly graph interface (GUI). Once the RAID is degraded or failure, DR8-TB3 will provide buzzer alarm notification and send email to user.
DR8-TB3 supports serial general purpose input and output (SGPIO) function. Once there is one drive damaged, user needs to click the 'light on' function on GUI, the LED of the damaged drive will lights on automatically to let the user know the location of the failure drive. It's easy to replace the failure drive.
For those users who need low-noise work environment, DR8-TB3 provides the fan speed control switch at the rear side. User can set the fan speed manually to full speed or half speed to reduce the fan noise.
