	The Smallest RAID Drive Enclosure Dedicated to the Mac Pro^®

The Pro Drive allows you to directly integrate hardware RAID storage into your Mac Pro . It holds two 2.5 inch hard drives with an embedded controller chip to instantly enable RAID functionality without difficult set ups. It s available in RAID 1 for data protection or RAID 0 for high-speed performance.

The new Pro Drive is solely designed to fit both the Xeon and Nehalem Mac Pro systems. With its slide-ready architectural design, the Pro Drive installs and extracts easily just like the original storage drive bays included in the Mac Pro without extra parts to add or install.

Designed with the protection of your data in mind
The internally built RAID 1 controller in the Pro Drive PD2510 model, controls all data entering it by duplicating them into two sets and then storing them in real-time into the two drives enclosed so you’ll always have two sets of the exact same data in the system to protect against possible drive failures which a standard 3.5 inch lacks to provide. And since it’s a hardware RAID, no further set up will be required. Just install the drives and the Pro Drive will automatically form the RAID 1 functionality.

PD2510 Model

		The RAID 0 striping technology : PD2520 Model The Pro Drive PD2520 model enhances the I/O speed performances by combining the capacity of the two drives enclosed into one large volume to increase the bandwidth of the I/O throughput. In turn, delivering faster speed performance when compared to a standard 3.5 inch hard drive. Like the PD2510 model, the PD2520 requires no further set up. Simply install drives and it will automatically create the RAID 0 functionality through the embedded hardware RAID controller.
	The performance of the Pro Drive PD2520 model (with 7200 rpm drives installed) when compared to a standard 3.5 inch hard drive is about 30% faster in data throughput.
